Engagement Story and Photos!

Here is the wonderful proposal story (cut and pasted from our wedding website because I'm too lazy to write a new version)

Around 8am on Saturday, December 13th, Leslie got a text message from Taylor that read "Meet me at the dog beach". Leslie is not prone to being awake at 8am on Saturday mornings so luckily for Taylor she was on that day. She agreed to meet him and rushed out of her apartment in jeans and her favorite dorky law school sweatshirt that she really shouldn't wear in public.

She arrived at the beach on one of the most gorgeous mornings ever with the sun streaming through the clouds. She spotted Taylor standing on a sand mound facing the ocean. She could tell that he was holding something bundled up in his arms and she knew it was the puppy they had picked out but didn't think she would be able to see for weeks. She sprinted towards Taylor (also not something she is prone to do) and was so excited to hold their precious new puppy. Taylor, the trickster, had arranged with the breeder to bring the puppy home earlier and had pretended to be at a boy's only poker night on Friday but was instead making a 4 hour road trip to fetch the puppy.

So Leslie was ecstatic to finally have the puppy and it was just the cutest thing alive. While Leslie was cooing at the puppy wrapped up in Taylor's jacket. Taylor suggested she check out the dog tag that he picked out. It was a red heart engraved with "Will You Marry Me?" Taylor got down on one knee and presented the gorgeous ring that he had custom designed. Needless to say, Leslie's head exploded. A diamond AND a puppy. A girl can only take so much.

Taylor then informed Leslie that he had tipped off the paparazzi and sure enough Taylor's mom, Stancie was snapping away from a secure distance. And Taylor's dad, prepared as usual, had champagne at the ready! Leslie called her mom to inform her but of course Taylor had asked both her parents for permission the day before so by the time Leslie had her on the phone the wedding was 2/3rds planned.

Their adorable goofball puppy, Hobbes, an English Mastiff continues to sport his "Will You Marry Me?" dog tag and there is some concern that he will be brought up on polygamy charges since no girl has yet to turn down the offer.
