More summer pics

Lots of family fun! Wrangling 6 great-grandkids together in one shot was challenging but mainly hilarious to watch. :-)

12-13 Months (ish)

Calvin has had quite an exciting summer. Lots of playtime with family and friends and LOTS of fun in the water! He is walking, running, talking, laughing, and generally being an adorable easy going little man. :-)

Calvin Turns One!!! 12 Month update

Well he is officially a toddler! We had a wonderful 1st birthday party for him (well two parties actually, one in AR and one in CA). He had a really good time playing in the kiddie pool and hanging with his buddies. It's amazing how much life has been lived in just one year and we are so proud and so in love with our little boy. We didn't have too much time to reflect one the year because he is on the move. Literally. He doesn't stop moving all day long. He does loops around the house, back and forth, and again. I see a lot of him from behind and I chase him around. So he's got the walking down and his new favorite (mom's least favorite) thing is stairs! Up, down, and again. He's words are coming too. Or, if not words, at least communication. He points at whatever he wants (everything) and says "no" or "nah". Which is sort of sending a mixed message but he'll figure it out. And he does "Hi" and "Bye" and "Doggie" and "Ball" (pronounced "Bawl"). He lifts up his shirt to tickle his belly button. And laughs histerically. He is working on kissing. Not his parents of course but his dog and dogs in books. Oh and in case you didn't hear, he LOVES swimming. :-)

Mule Days!

On Memorial day weekend we embarked on our first family road trip to Mammoth Lakes. We attended the Mule Days festivities in nearby Bishop and just generally had a fun family weekend.

10 Months(ish)

10 Months! This month has been a lot of fun. He took his first step! He is gaining confidence in his ability to stand on his own and occasionally decides to try walking instead of crawling. But he knows if he needs to get somewhere fast (like really really fast) he drops and crawls like a champ. He sleeps pretty well unless he is growing new teeth which is happening more and more. He even survived a few days without Mommy this month because Mommy needed some girl time in Vegas. But most exciting was our first family road trip to Mammoth. We attended the Mule Days festival in Bishop with Carrie and Simon, CJ and Rob, and, of course, the whole Mammoth gang. It was so fun to spend time with cousins and morph into cowboys and girls for the weekend.

Nerd Alert!!No wait, he's Mr. Cool!

9 Months(ish)

9 Months! He is starting to become his own little person. He knows what he wants and he sure doesn't appreciate it when you don't give it to him! He is standing on his own for brief moments. It is so fun to watch him discover new things. We go to a park nearby and he loves the swings. He still likes to eat and babble (I think he's trying to say Doggie but I'm ignoring it because I know he really means Mommy).

Napping on daddy...best seat in the house

Carrie and Simon babysat...Calvin was well-fed and very entertained
Stancie photo shoot in his very hip hockey sweater. How adorable!

Swwwwwing!

8 Months(ish)

At 8 months, the little one is adorable and adventurous. He is curious about everything and everyone. Learning to play with books. Loves to eat (yogurt!). And is generally a happy guy. Sleeps pretty well. This month was Easter! We celebrated with lots of other little ones at Irvine Park with a fun train ride. On Easter Sunday, we had an egg hunt at Buster and Honey's. Calvin wore a very chic seersucker suit that Peachie picked out for him. He was a dapper dude.
